For this reason, thanks to the collaboration of an alien race that, for one time, came in contact with Earth, the states of the World made a spacecraft capable of overcoming the boundaries of space / time. The first colonizers departed with that ship to reach a new star and found a colony ...
After that episode, technological progress took other directions. The alien technology was secreted and forgotten. Settlers became independent and created what we know as spacer worlds...
